Twiddling my thumbs

As I sit here twiddling my thumbs in anticipation of the first snow covered landscape photography opportunity of the winter, I do what most photographers do… go back into the archives to see if there are any images I might have missed the first time around, or any that I might be able to post-process better after all this time. Here are a couple I came up with of a big rock in Yosemite National Park, hands down one of the most beautiful parcels of land I have ever seen…

  1. Yosemite is a special place…almost spiritual. After visiting this national treasure, I understand why Ansel Adams and others spent so much time there. Terrific photographs, David. Thanks for stirring my soul!

Thanks Michael. I totally understand your comments about Yosemite being so special. It is one of those rare places where your jaw literally drops as you round every corner. The valley part of Yosemite NP is magical, though I completely fell in love with the land higher up around Tuolumne Meadow.

  2. Thank you David for sharing with us yet again. You have captured in your lens one of most special places in the National Park systems. I too love the land higher up above the Valleys where you can sit on horseback or stand on your feet and just look at the million dollar view for free. Have a great day my friend and thank you for sharing your awesome talent with the rest of us.

Thank you. That second one was made in the morning, which is different since most photographs made at this location are made in the late afternoon.

I'd love to hear from you...
